About

I am Devendra Singh, a product designer focused on UX, UI, motion, interaction design, and product systems.

Where it started

I got into web design during college. I used to make small websites for local institutes, cafes, and schools. Those projects were simple, but they taught me how real people judge a website: does it look trustworthy, does it load, does it explain the thing clearly, and can someone use it without help?

Before product design became the main lane, I also had a graphic design background. That helped me build a better eye for layout, typography, spacing, and visual taste. I still care about beautiful UI, but I care more when the beauty is helping the product feel clear.

Product work

Over the last 9 years, I have worked across products where design had to do more than look good. It had to simplify complex workflows, support fast-moving teams, scale across use cases, and help the business ship with confidence.

At Pocket FM, I joined early and worked as a founding designer across multiple product areas. That experience shaped how I think about design. I am comfortable working with ambiguity, breaking down messy problems, creating structure, and turning rough ideas into clear product experiences.

How I think about design

My strength is connecting product thinking with craft. I care about user flows, information architecture, interface quality, motion behavior, design systems, and the small interaction details that make a product feel reliable.

I like designing experiences that feel simple on the surface, but are built on strong thinking underneath.

Close to build

I also work close to prototypes and implementation. Using tools like Next.js, Tailwind, ShadCN, and AI-assisted workflows, I can move quickly from concept to working prototype.

This helps me test ideas faster, communicate better with engineers, and make design decisions that are grounded in what can actually be built.

What I enjoy

I am especially interested in products where design can bring order to chaos: internal tools, creator workflows, AI-powered systems, content platforms, and design systems.

I also enjoy the craft of making mobile and web apps feel beautiful, sharp, and easy to use. The kind of UI where the spacing, motion, hierarchy, and small states all quietly do their job.

My goal is to build products that feel clear, scalable, and thoughtfully crafted.

Outside work

A lot of my life outside design is Goldy, my golden retriever. I love him, and he has made it very clear that he loves me back. He is the softest reminder that not everything needs to be optimized. Some things just need time, attention, and a good walk.
